I don't know if HIP can actually learn remote codes, it seems to operate at a higher level. maybe it was IR Server Suite i was thinking of, which has already been mentioned. forgive me if I've sent you down the wrong path.

Yep. The IR channel changers, including the one you mention here, require that you've used BlastCfg to set up the Blaster. But the only Comcast profile in BlastCfg doesn't work for the DTA device. Far as I can tell, none of the other profiles work either.

I believe the problem will be the same with IR Server Suite. I had issues configuring it, getting it to learn IR codes, as mentioned previously. Probably that learning software is using a high-level API that this card doesn't support, as Hauppauge tech support said.

if you haven't tried HIP you should... I've seen several threads now where people talk about HIP being able to learn remote codes.

Has anyone recorded blaster codes for the Pace DC50X DTA for HIP which would work with a serial IR blaster?
