Djkxml problems?

Anyone else having issues with djkxml failing to download guide data? when i run the program i get

I also note that links to this utility on the wiki have been removed... sounds ominous :eek:

so, anyone know what the story is, so should i just stop leaning on my keyboard?

is anyone in NZ using alternative EPG utilities ? if so what?

So, any suggestions for alternative programs? Im on DVT-T, so if the other half has to manually update the EPG every hour, Im in deep trouble.

Wonder if they have had a C&D letter from Sky like a few other EPG scraper providers around the place.

You can get data via a couple of options, using DVB-S or DVB-T

I use a utility for DVB-S, which Sub made.
If you have a sky dish, you could put a sat card in your machine and use that (meaning the EPG update doesn't interfere with any recordings etc on DVB-T)

The djkxml problem is due to the self-updating process. I.e there is a djkxml.exe which downloads (on the fly as required) djkxmlup.exe to help with the updating. They're not playing well together because the hosting website no longer allows downloading of the .exe files.
I enjoyed djkxml while it lasted... but I'm going to try out EPGCollector, which is an approach I favour and what I was after when I first started using GBPVR :-)

well have tried EPGCollector, and it is brilliant ! using my NOVA-T-500 (DVB-T) i am getting 7 days of EPG, all channels. Excellent!

I've been using EPG Collector since they put it up, still using an early version. Results are perfect

You should get 8 days, ie. Friday to, and including, next Friday

So if I only have an analog tuner (PVR-150) installed, then there's no way to get an EPG now? (without purchasing extra hardware ie, DVB-S or DVB-T card)

Unfortunately, that seems to be the way it is now, unless you know someone with a dvb-s / t tuner who will send you a file, or make it available on ftp etc.
