New ATI 785g [HD4200 onboard]

i get vector adaptive on even a hd3450...so not quite true...can be checked with dxvachecker..[at least in xp w/vmr9]
pretty sure i didn't even have to tweak it to get it..

The problem only exists in the Vista/Win 7 drivers. XP works. With Vista/Win7, I can select VA on my 3450 but when testing with the cheeze slices test video, it noticably reverts to motion adaptive deinterlacing.

Nope, it never worked with EVR. It never would take negative values for the screen border.

bummer, i do remember that at one time he got overlay working past the edges tho..
[i thought it may have been around that time and maybe same tricks be used to enable overlay] no mention in change logs anywhere i can find of evr..

seems like the future will be evr, so i hope it eventually gets looked at...

I just set up a new HTPC using a ECS Black Series A785GM-M mother board. 1.5 TB HD, 4 gig ram and 3 ghz ADM Phemom II 545 running 64 bit Windows 7. The on board HD4200 works great connected to a 56 in DLP. No shutter and great sound. What are you complaining about this works great and priced under $600.

What codec are you using? I am having troubles, I just got an HD card and it is not usable due to the stutter.
