map F7 (aspect ratio) to hauppauge remote button?

Hi all,

is this do-able? I've added a few more aspect settings to GBPVR's config (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=43012) which I use frequently and it would be a boon to be able to change them with the remote.

Are you using the Remote.exe that comes from hauppauge ?
If so, stop remote.exe, then edit C:\WINDOWS\IRREMOTE.ini
Find the [PVRX2] section (usually at the bottom), and map a key to F7
I use
RADIO={f7}
since I don't use that key
Save and restart Remote.exe.

Thanks! I do indeed use the hauppauge remote software - I'll try your suggestion as soon as I get home. Will report back.

It makes life a lot easier now that I've set up 2 zoom ratios for anamorphic/wide (I sometimes find 2.35:1 transfers of movies on free-to-air gratuitous) and 3 for letterbox material, covering 1.55:1 (14:9), 1.66:1 (a lot of older European films on DVD are in these two ratios) and 1.77:1 (16:9).

BTW, irremote.ini is actually in C:\WINNT\.

It's in %windir%, which by default is c:\windows in XP/Vista and C:\WinNT in Windows 2000. Are you running W2K or did you install a later operating system as an upgrade over W2K?

Indeed - it was an XP Pro upgrade to Win2K. Good catch.
