Recordings work but LiveTV does not from gbpvr pc client

I have gbpvr running on a WHS server with gbpvr client on a windows 7 pc.

I can see the recordings from PVRX2 and even livetv when I use streaming. However, they stutter a lot.

When I try Filesharing, I am able to view the recordings but not LiveTV. I get a blank screen and PVRx2 goes back to the TV Guide.

I can actually goto the shared folder from windows and click and view the small clip in the live buffer directory using Windows Media Player so the file permissions must be okay?

I cannot see anything in the logs but here is a snippet:

I have just the opposite problem. I can stream live tv and my recordings won't.
Client app just locks right up. I got the live tv to work by telling the firewall to allow gbpvrrecordingservice. but have not found the magic fix for the recordings to play. If I set it to file share the live tv is so stuttering that it is no good. but the recordings then work fine. just for fun I shut off the firewall on the server pc and that had no effect. Sharing and security are set so I can access and modify files on the drive that I use for the database and recording.
pvrx2.exe.log shows nothing wrong up to the access for playback of the file. then, nothing. only thing I would really like to fix right now but can manage by using other players on my system.

In your logs it show you trying to stream .avi files. Streaming mode can only stream .mpg and .ts files.

I guess I will have to change some settings on my server to not use xvid conversion. Thanks alot!
