Long pause during Fast Forward

I'm having issues when I click the forward buttons. It stops the video and audio for 30-50 seconds. The time keeps going, but there is no audio or video advance. Anyone heard of this, right off hand?

it's generally video decoder related. I used to have a similar problem with ffdshow.

How did you fix it?

Simple, I don't use ffdshow any more. Right now I use Microsoft DTV-DVD Decoder from Windows 7. I also have the ATI Mpeg-2 Decoder from the AVIVO pack, though currently I prefer the Microsoft decoder. I used to also use the Cyberlink PowerDVD decoder with good success.
My primary point though was that this sort of problem is decoder related, so you should try others. Generally almost all playback issues in GB-PVR are either decoder or video driver related.
