I've seen multiple posts regarding failures when trying to pause, but it seems they all had different solutions. When I pause, the screen freezes for approximately 10 seconds and then I'm returned to the main menu. My logs are attached.

Additionally, I can't record. It may be related, but I'll start w/ the pause problem first.

Thanks!

when you first hit pause is when it starts recording, so yea it's related...
you'll want to post all the logs for a better idea what's goin on.

Thanks. All of the logs were zipped into "PVRX2.exe-native.zip" in the first post.

Try running ReRegisterFilters.bat then try again. If you're on Vista or Win7, you may need to run this from a command prompt started with 'run as administrator'.

I ran ReRegisterFilters.bat in Windows XP. Seemed to have no effect.

Maybe try the newer NPVR app instead. It replaced GBPVR.

I installed NPVR, but now have a different problem. When I scan for channels, it doesn't see any. I turned off my firewall and cycled the HDHomeRun default app from GPPVR to generic and back to GBPVR. The light on the front of the HDHomeRun is flashing which indicates it is sending data to the computer.

I suppose this thread should be moved to NPVR Support.

The usual cause of this is the firewall blocking HDHR data from making it to the NextPVR.exe or NRecord.exe

I have my firewall turned completely off.

I know the qam.ini file generated by the HDHomeRun was essential to GBPVR tuning correctly. Is there similar functionality in NPVR?

If you do a scan then post the npvr.log and nrecord.log, I'll check. I'm still thinking it'll be firewall related, because thats nearly always the cause with the HDHR - even when users initially think they've disabled... so double check. 3rd party and microsoft firewalls. (they're often both there)

I dont really know anything about qam.ini files that HDHomeRun produces. The existing NPVR .ini files should be fine, but if you really want to, you can copy that GBPVR file into the C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\QAM directory to have NPVR use it.
