I had to roll back to v1.3.11 because of LiveTV problems with the MVP. I did not have issues with my NMT and GBPVR 1.4.7 or the corresponding NMTInstall.

The only problem that I am haveing with 1.4.7 is that occasionally a skip forward or reverse will cause a recording to start over at the beginning. This seems to happen to my wife a lot, but has only happened to me once. I think it may have something to do with hitting the skip forward key a second or possibly a third time before the original (first skip) request was completed.

I've noticed this a few times, but haven't been able to exactly reproduce the problem. Usually during commercials, where we skip forward a few times, go too far and skip back a bit. It does seem to happen more if you don't wait for the image to start moving again.

Are you both seeing this with the latest version of mvpmcx2? Certainly with the GBPVR PTS bug, I expect this but not anymore.

I'm running (as below) but for the life of me I can't force it to happen and it is rare enough not to be a problem. I wouldn't have mentioned it (or even remembered it) had not tjb jogged my memory with his post.

/etc/mvpmc # ./mvpmcx2 -v
DFB: tv mode 17
vmode 17
This is version 2.7.1 of mvpmcx2

edit: I posted 2.1.2 but this was because I had just copied down the version from the email to check versions.
2.7.1 is what was running on the PCH since it was available (until a minute or so ago). (sorry for any confusion).

2.7.1 is two weeks old, and it was in beta for a couple of weeks before that. -v was actually broken and fixed too!

I just updated less than 1 week ago to version 2.7 through CSI (it does not show the third digit of the version). Actually, if anything, it appears to be worse, but this could be due to the quality of my recordings. Skipping forward seems to be more reliable than skipping back. What is the PTS bug you mentioned, had this been fixed just recently? If so, maybe I need to run NMTInstall to get the latest.

CSI doesn't show the third digit, you should be ok, and running NMTInstall won't help, unless you are missing one of the GBPVR minor updates. Skipping any direction uses the same logic so it is unlike that would make a difference. There is a minor issue in that some people use 10 seconds for the skip back and that is impossible to achieve with the current logic without CBR video.

The PTS bug is a bug in GBPVR file handling when the file time reaches a certain size http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=43597&page=4 The next time it happens open a new thread and compress and upload your logs and I will have a look.
