DCT700/ IRBlaster issues

What is changing channels and with what, the remote or the keyboard, the STB or the 1600
--------------------

If I hit keyboard up/down type 009 the 1600 tuner changes channels, not the IR/ STB.

My blaster works tho, physically send IR signals at least if I use WinTV. So at least it is not a defective blaster.

edit: I think I would be happier if I got no channels changing at all at this moment, that would perhaps mean it was using the IR but something wasn't quite right on that end.

hmm, a screencap of the capture source setup screen would rally help, sounds like you have set to internal tuner still...

when you say the 1600 tuner changes, how do you know? the osd? or the actual content changes on video? the osd would just reflect pvrx2's attempt to change it..[normal]
if the playing video changes then it's still set to internal tuner..
you need to set to external tuner..

if you're using RF cable out of stb into 1600, see screen shot for example setup..
otherwise, use svideo in,external tuner option...
and don't forget to set the 'constant channel' at bottom...

Really late followup here, I haven't been back for a while but: thanks! very much, it's all working well. There were more places to make changes to support this than I thought.
