Hi,

Re: No Tuners available + tuners 2&3 won't record

Can anyone suggest why a 'no tuners available' error message appears whilst trying to watch a DVB-T channel whilst another is recording also why only one DVB-T tuner out of three is recording?

Am using Hauppauge Nova-T 500 PCI (Master: Tuner No. 1, Slave: Tuner No. 2) and a Nova-T USB2.0 DVB-T capture devices.

All three DVB-T tuners have been tuned in and DVB-T channels mapped accordingly. According to the 'show status' option the Nova-T 500 PCI Master seems to be doing all of the work and the other DVB-T capture devices seem to be always sleeping.

Am using V.1.4.7 of GB-PVR.

Thank you.
Best Regards.

Can you run filtercheck.exe from the gbpvr directory, then post the filtercheck.log?

Hi Sub,

Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated. Am almost certain that I've come across this problem before now however unfortunately I'm afraid that I cannot remember what was causing the issues. Anyway, as requested here's a copy of filtercheck.log:-

Your comments would be appreciated.
Best Regards.

P.S. Forgot to mention that I've changed the order in which my three Hauppauge DVB-T Tuners are listed. Recordings are now being made via Nova-T USB2.0 DVB-T capture device however recording failed and no tuners available error message are still persisting. Tried stopping and restarting recording service without avail.

All your devices are set to "Hauppauge Nova-DT #1 DVB-T":

Code:
---------SERVICE STARTUP---------
---------17/11/2009 00:44:24
source: 1    name: WinTV Nova-T 500 PCI Master type: digital:[color=Red]Hauppauge Nova-DT #1 DVB-T[/color]:1
source: 2    name: WinTV Nova-T 500 PCI Slave type: digital:[color=red]Hauppauge Nova-DT #1 DVB-T[/color]:1
source: 3    name: WinTV Nova-T USB2.0 Master type: digital:[color=red]Hauppauge Nova-DT #1 DVB-T[/color]:1

Your Nova-T USB should be set to "Hauppauge Nova-T-Stick". And your Nova-T 500 PCI Slave should be set to "Hauppauge Nova-DT #2 DVB-T"

Yeah, you need three capture sources, all set to device #1, with the appropriate device chosen for each.

Hi Whurlston & Sub,

Thank you for your replies. I'm afraid that I've absolutely no idea why the DVB-T capture devices were all mapped to the same device however can only guess that this has occurred due to having removed and added them whilst having DVB-T tuning issues. Think that the configuration of these is correct now as three tuners are recording concurrently. Keep up the good work.

Best Regards.
