2250 card using QUAM, video, no sound?

PVR250 Analog card
HVR2250 card
785 motherboard with 4200 onboard HDMI out

I go the card in and was able to map my channels, the video is a little funky at times but I will work on that.
All the analog channels in my lineup still work as usual, only the HD channels I mapped are affected.
Any suggestions?

You may not have an audio decoder that can decode AC3, which I think is the audio format for all US digital channels. AC3 Filter works well for lots of people, including me. FFDShow and the NVIDIA audio decoder also handle AC3. I'm not sure about the free MPA decoder. Look in your config and make sure you have something other than System Default set for AC3 audio decoder (the drop down list will show decoders that GBPVR finds on your system).

If this doesn't work, zip and post your log files: GBPVR\Logs folder.

thank you Mike, that was the problem there. I'm now recording two HD shows at the same time, but I try to watch or record another with the analog card and it is no go. I wonder how my original 250 got kicked out of the mix?

I've got bigger problems, the HD recordings are not good on playback. Too much stuttering in both video and audio. A 720P source came out OK, but it played back as though it was analog, grainy in comparison to the live TV.
