I'm ripping BR dvd's (m2ts) into the video library. They play perfectly fine in Cyberlink, but not in anything else. the video is fine, the audio is a bit crackly. I downloaded GraphEdit and inserted every combination of decoders I could think of, and played the graph. No luck. Is there anyway to tell which decoders Cyberlink is using? I'm hoping to change the merits so that WMP, and hece GB_PVR will play the file fine.

Also, is there an easy alternative? I like the simplicity of ripping to m2ts with dvd fab. but really don't like being in mutex hell.

thanks in advance

powerdvd uses cyberlinks own codecs. I use it without problem from the SAF codec pack that is available from the forum.

CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD9)

Using GraphStudio, which is awesome, I tried the Cyberlink renderer, the Turtle Beach renderer, and one other, don't remember the name. None of which seem to work.

Using GraphStudio, I tried using every Cyberlink decoder/renderer and never got it to not crackle. Makes me wonder if there's a way to tell exactly which they're using.

I'll try the SAF codecs.

Thanks

Download and register DirectShow Filter Graph Spy (look for the yellow box in about the middle of the page). While playing video in PDVD, open GraphStudio and select File->Connect to remote graph.

Nice. Thank you. This m2ts issue is no longer an annoyance... it's a mission.

I've tried pretty much every decoder ever made when it comes to m2ts playback and I've narrowed my selections down to the following:

MPC-HC Source (Gabest)
CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD9) or MPC-HC Video Decoder
ffDshow Audio Decoder
