Hi, I'm hoping that someone can help me me a small problem I currently have.

I recently reinstalled (not upgraded) the OS on my HTPC to Windows 7. Everything works fine and I can schedule and record TV programs using the default mux in .ts format.

Previously when I had Windows XP installed, I was using the Cyberlink mux and recording .mpg files which are easier for me to handle and convert. When I use the Cyberlink mux with my Windows 7 setup, the recorded file has 0 bytes and obviously does not play back.

Everything seems to have installed OK and the mux registered OK. I've tried to reinstall GB-PVR from the ground up, but no joy. Anybody got any ideas?

TIA, Mark

If a .ts recordings works, but a cyberlink mux one doesnt, I'd guess either the broadcaster has changed the PID for the channel in question (and a rescan/remap would fix), or the Cyberlink mux is nonfunctional and you might need to reinstall it or find a different version.

Thanks for the quick reply sub.

The Cyberlink mux that I am currently trying (I've been through them all it seems) is the same one that worked OK on my Windows XP PC. Mux Checker shows it as installed correctly, I've tried re-tuning several times and recording different channels.

I can't help think that either I've made a fundamental mistake somewhere (distinctly possible) or that the Cyberlink muxes do not work with Windows 7 (also possible).

Has anyone successfully used the Cyberlink muxes with Windows 7? Is there a "trick" that I am missing?

I'm running Windows 7 32-bit so it's not likely to be an x64 specific issue, rather an issue with Windows 7.

I've tried the ATI mux but I get the same issue of 0 byte recording files. I can't help thinking that there is a very simple solution out there, if only we knew what it was!!!

Nothing springs to mind, but post the logs and I'll see if any shows in there.

This might be a factor. Start a command prompt with 'run as administartor' then run the ReRegisterFilter.bat file.

You logs dont show you using the Cyberlink mux. Instead you're using the MainConcept mux. I've never tested this mux with GBPVR, so couldnt tell you that would work or wouldnt.
