all the links to the list of post message codes have been deleted....apparently they were all old enough to go by the wayside....
is there any way 'important' attachments can be kept from deletion?
i'd hate to have to upload to wiki but i guess it's ok for reference stuff..

maybe make it 2 years timeout?

Periodically I do a purge of attachments older than about 18 months. The vast majority of those are log files, but unfortunately there is sometimes more valuable data in those attachments. Short of looking at each and every post and manually deleting, unfortunately I'm not sure of any way to tag stuff as an important attachment.

Hopefully anything important will also be in the wiki.

maybe just a 'touch' of the file dates to update them to 'fresh'?
or a protected place to move them that doesn't get deleted?
some stuff can't be replaced if author isn't around..
tho i guess if noone uses it then it can't be that useful...lol

anyways, i found what i needed and uploaded to wiki..
