hi sub

I've got an issue with GB-PVR failing to record a show at 7pm on Sundays on Prime. I can't seem to replicate this - no matter how many other shows I attempt to record, even using the multi record they all work fine!

The show is Get growing with New Zealand. After this happened last week I removed and readded the tuners and tried everything I coulld think of but to no avail - I still got a 0 byte length recording again this week.

I record 3News on TV3 from 6pm - 7pm and nothing else is scheduled for that time so the 2nd Nova T 500 tuner is free.

SNAP!!! My wife has been killing me about this too! Every attempt to record "Get Growing" has failed. Now I can tell the wife "it's not just me".

Weird - I wonder why only this show is effected? I've never noticed a problem recording other shows on Prime.

I see you're recording via DVB-T. I'm having the same problem on DVB-S. How is this possible? I did notice at one stage that the naming of the show would sometimes vary subtly, so I even tried recording the season using the "all shows in this time-slot on this channel" option - still failed.

Let us know if you get to the bottom of this...

Bill.

I think its something to do with the two dots/periods at the end of the show name. The ".."

If I try to manually create a directory with that name, it strips the dots, and I suspect the same thing happens to the app, which also means that soon after when it goes to create the file it fails because the directory does exists.

I've added logic to the next release to cope with this.

Ah, yes, you'd be right there Sub. I noticed the dots in the EPG for this show but didn't consider the ramifications.

You're smarter than the average bear, Sub! Well done spotting that. Windows won't keep the dot unless characters follow it, i.e. "md test." looses the dot, but "md test.ok" keeps the dot.

This explains everything.

Thanks!

I'd been pulling my hair out trying to find out what the problem was!
