Hi. I'm just transferring my 1.4.7 from XP to Win7x64. Same hardware just dual booting. My HVR-3000 tunes DVB-S fine in Win7x64 but dvbtoxmltv doesn't run and gives the error below. Same error even if I "Run as Administrator" so I don't think its a UAC problem.

What does this error mean and what other "gotchas" are there moving to Win7x64?

It probably needs to be marked as a 32bit executable. Im away from home at the moment though so can't do it for a few days.

did this get resolved? is there anything else needed to get dvbtoxmltv working? While I could get epg direct from the dvb-s card, like like it being a file so I can play with it afterwards - I have our dvb-s and dvb-t show up separately as I like to generally record in dvb-t but if I want to keep it (movies etc) I record them in dvb-s and edit out the ads..

If you've got corflags.exe on your machine, run

corflags.exe /32BIT+ c:\path\to\dvbtoxmltv.exe

Hi finally tried this, any other ideas? I copied the existing dvbtoxml I have in my gbpvr install to the npvr program files directory, and the dvbtoxml.xml file to there, and to the npvr config files directory (just in case it wants to be in the users directory).

I also tried that corflags thing, and set program compatibility to windows xp and run as administrator.

As soon as it's started a window pops up saying dvbtoxml has stopped working. It creates no logs.

I'm pretty sure you'll need to leave it in the GBPVR directory, since it depends on other DLLs etc, and needs to have the capture source ssettings from the gbpvr.db3 file.

so yep, had the exe in with the npvr executable, and one copy of the dvbtoxml.xml file is there, with a 2nd copy of the xml file with the config.xml.

Sorry, I dont follow. Did you get it going? As I mentioned above, you cant put it in the exe in npvr directory and have it work - it needs to be with the GBPVR stuff since it depends on several GBPVR files.

dvbtoxml didnt really do anything much itself, it just used GBPVR's DVB EPG functionality. In theory I could write the same type of utility for NPVR, but I havnt yet.

Why dont you just directly use the DVB EPG source instead of going via an xmltv file? If you're wanting to go to a xmltv file so you can also use the listings for analog, or something like this, then there is a way to acheive the same thing in the UI.
