I've replaced my old PC with one running Windows 7 (x86) but I'm still using my Hauppauge Nova-SE2 (DVB-S).

The problem is that GB-PVR 1.4.7 doesn't get a signal.

I've checked
- card and connection is OK (Windows Media Center can receive TV)
- Windows Media Center doesn't interfere (stopped the service)
- configuration is the same as on the old PC where it was working
- logfile (attached) shows no errors

What could be the problem?

thanks, chris

Set the logging leven back to 'debug' then reproduce the problem and repost the logs.

I wouldnt have thought it'd stop the scan working, but the only error I could see listed in the logs was it not finding the VMR9 renderer. Maybe your were trying to do this over Remote Desktop?

Other than that, there is no errors, but the device never manages to lock onto any signal.

Yes, it was remote desktop. I didn't realize this would make a difference - but I have tried this locally before with the same results.

Is Media Center using a different API?

I've attached the logfiles again. Maybe you can see the cause?

Yeah, I didnt think it would be related.

No, they use the same BDA tuning API.

The usual reason for getting no channels with DVB-S is due to the user setting their LNB settings incorrectly.

That's strange because I'm using the same settings that were working on my old PC (they are even they same as in Media Center).

Thanks for your help though!
