I just updated my host computer and laptop to win 7. I believe I have setup everything proper in the firewall and router. The host machine works fine using the localhost address but when i try to logon using the laptop, ip address, the logon screen appears but then will timeout when I try to log on. If I wait awhile and refresh it will bring me into the menu fine but when I try click something it will timeout again. Any ideas I could try?

Did you set up the inbound rule on the host machine so incoming connections can get to EWA?

Yes I set up an inbound rule for gbpvrrecordingservice.exe for the port I am using. Turning off the firewall completely on the host machine still causes the same problems. Turns out that I have no problems logging in from an outside computer that is off my home network. Not exactly sure why this is but since this is all I want it for guess I shouldn't be worried.

If the issue is you internal network access you could turn on auto-login from internal networks in the Config tab.....then when you access from internal network you are not prompted for a id/password.....unless you access the config tab......and continue to be prompted when access from external network.
