I want to set up my Dvb-s capture source as my third source in order that live tv is from that however when I try to update EPG that does not happen.
Am I doing this wrong?
Any advice appreciated.

Why? it doesn't really work like that
you just set up the tuner and gbpvr will use that tuner when it's not been used for recording
what sources do have setup already ie dvbs dvbt analog?what tuner are you using?
For live tv to work while recording it has to have it's own tuner

I have a Hauppage Nova Usb-S and a Pinnacle 73e Dvb-t and I want to view live Tv using satellite rather than the Dvb-t.

Ok add the dvbs source the same as the first same in everyway just make sure it's at the bottom of the tuner list
just remember though that this will only be used if the dvbs is not recording it cannot be shared even if multirecord is used
When recording the tuner at the top is used first
when watching live tv the tuner at the bottom of the list is used first
so it might be just a matter of switching your tuners around inyour list

GBPVR selects tuners for recording from the top down and for Live TV from the bottom up (on Capture Sources tab).

You should setup all three tuners the same for EPG since they all receive the same channels (or so I asume).

Thank you both.
Once I changed device to number 1 all came as expected.
The only reason for this is my laptop does not handle high def recordings.
