Main Menu extremely Laggy

I started over with a fresh install of GBPVR last night. ever since, I have been trying to solve problems with the Main Menu. The first was that when using the Slick skin the main menu was just a black screen on both NMT and MVP.
then I installed the Mayhem3 Skin and the black main menu issues were solved. Now the main menu is sluggish. There are no items to the left side of the horizontal selection panel either.
has anyone seen this before?

Slick and Mayhem skins are more laggy than Blue on the clients, but I don't know anything specific to a a fresh install that would cause it to be worse, all things being equal. I don't like the Slick skin so I'm no help there but for Mayhem there is a patch I've linked to a few times in the announcement thread that might cause some problems.

I have always used the slick theme and it was not like this before. Additionally, the "skins" menu in mayhem 3 is blank. Maybe it's all caused by the same problem?

What Skins menu in Mayhem3? I think CS4 has this but not Mayhem3. If you mean the folder is blank, perhaps you need to reinstall it. If you use NMTInstall, delete the Mayhem zip file in the mvpmc directory and try again (and then apply the patch)

In the Main Menu there is a Skin plugin. I assume it came with the Mayhem theme. when I select "skin" from the main menu it shows a metallic weave background and nothing else.
I also discovered that once I enter something like Video Library and Music Library in Slick skin, I can't get back to the main menu.

You definitely installed something wrong, AutoStart 1 MVP server duplicate the problem and send your logs and I'll have a look

Thanks Martin, I solved my problem, had a few gin and tonics, then said F-this and wiped GBPVR then reloaded.
I also cleared out my temp folders. I think Temp was so full that extraction procedures error-ed and caused missing files in my first re-install attempt.
I also have since discovered that the black main menu is caused by only having 3 plugins enabled. must be a bug in the slick skin.
But I HAVE resolved my slow menu problem.
