Hi All,
I'm really new to this, and am hoping someone can spot the obvious mistake.
My problem is that in GB-PVR, I get no picture or sound - all I can see is the EPG information.
My system is as follows:
Hauppauge WinTV NOVA-TD 500
Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit).
Core 2 Quad Q6600
2GB RAM
XFX nVidia 8800GT (with latest drivers from XFX).
I am in New Zealand.
I installed the drivers and software from the disc that came with the card. The WinTV software (version 7 AFAIK) gives me a good picture, but stuttery sound (like when you set the latency too low on DirectSound) on all channels except our TV3 (which is AC3 audio).
In GBPVR I have the ArcSoft decoders set in pretty much all the categories, except I'm using the latest version of Monogram for the HE-AAC audio one.
Sometimes GBPVR tells me that I have no signal, which seems odd because I can always get a perfect picture through WinTV (just lame sound), and my flatmate can plug his FreeView enabled TV into the other branch off of our splitter (which is almost severed at one point, whereas mine is brand new) and get perfect picture and sound.
AFAIK I am running a 32-bit version of GB-PVR, which I guess might be the problem because ActiveX / COM / DirectShow components of different bittages can not be mixed and maybe I have 64-bit drivers for the card?
I'll post logs and screenshots of my settings tonight when I get home.
Thanks.
