I dont see me adding any grouping to the What's New list. I could look into providing a sort option for the Ready recordings to order the groups by those with the most recent recording.

The next release already has an option to specify the default startup recordings list.

I dont see me combining the Video Library and Recordings in any way. I see these has performing very different features, and I'm happy with their current split.

That'd be great. Whichever way you want to go, my primary wish is to get a list that shows what I want to see. In keeping with the lack of buttons on the new-style recordings view, I presume you will tie the sort option to a hot key such as Ctrl-I? Also allow a default sort option to specified in Settings or Config.XML?

That's cool, obviously where my vision and your vision differs, we're going with your vision. When I get to it I'll look into that VidImport utility to bring selected videos into the database.

Probably. I havnt got that far yet.

I'll probably make it remember the sorting on per list basis, but not add a setting for it in the Setting screen.

That works just as well, if not better. If I'm in the list and switch to an alpha sort for some reason, chances are when I come back I still want alpha sort until I switch back to date sort again.
