Hello

I have the intervideo windvd creator installed to allow DVB recording but the recordings a stuttered, there are 2-4 sec gaps the 1 sec recording then another 2-3 sec gap.

If I watch the file size of the file being recorded it jumps up in filesize by 50-100kb every 2-3 seconds, I would expect it to be constantly writing to the file.

I tried using cyberlinks filters instead and got similar results. Does anyone have any ideas what to try next (tried a reinstall).

Or can anyone send me there filters that though know definatly work

Thanks
Brian

I had that happen once when I switched decoders. The ones I recorded w/ the old decodeder still skipped. Try recording w/ new decoder and check again.

When I reinstalled, I used both descaler and ffdshow, and had post-processing on for ffdshow in config. When I turned that off, it was fine again.

Neither may apply to you, but I know what you're experiencing.

Right for those that have any issues with this here's what ive found:

There are a few posts about installing MpgMux.ax or .dll and this being enough to record DTV.

This may still be valid but I could not find a single (an i tried quiet a few) MpgMux.ax that would (after being registered) stop Gbpvr complaing about the Cyberlink or Intervideo demultiplexer. This seems to be becuase the name Gbpvr is looking for a the filter my its name and none of the mpmmux.dll I had matched the name.

Finally I found PDMpgmux.ax. This obviously does the same as MpgMux.ax but has the right name so GBPvr is happy once its installed!

So now I have smooth recording without having to install either the cyberlink or intervideo applications!

Thats good you got it working. Do you know what the file came with for future reference?

no idea, I just did a google search for the filter fullname that your code is looking for and found pages mentioning PDMpgmux.ax so I searched for that in various places and found just the file

For (not necessarily very much) info. I also had a PDMPGMUX.AX which was pre-installed on my machine under a DELL media experience folder, probably one of the cutdown bits of software that came with the DELL. My wife is currently using the DELL to do some accounts on so I can't check the exact path/package.

Cheers
