Ill do some more testing tonight and also looking throught the logs. The series I tried were: House M.D., Desperate Housewifes, Scrubs, The Office US and some more. All "big" series where I would expect some results but all ended up empty on the screen. Also as House M.D. here is Sweden is noted as "House" I would expect several hits and that I would have to choose which one i meant.

Also the data dictionary is filled with about 40 series IDs.

alibert, did another test. Started NPVR, went into TV Listings, selected the show Grey´s Anatomy, selected the "find more" option, then TheTVDB, and enter. The "hourglass" or dotted circle starts and then ends with an empty screen (or actually emtpy selection list.)

Log is attached, but I can see no obvious errors.

Hi,

yes, there's nothing obvious in the logs. Can you try the attached version that adds some extra log output when downloading information from TheTVDB, then post the logs again? Please clear your local cache directory (default location is "C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins\TV Listings\TheTVDB") first.

You were right, it looks like no episodes are found. Attaching new logs for "Seinfeld" and "CSI Miami" lookups. Is there anything additional needed from the XMLTV in order to find season/episode?

Attached are also the downloaded info from TVDB.

Let me know if you need a xmltv sample.

Hi,

thanks for your feedback. I've attached another version with additional log outputs for the cached files; there has been a hardcoded path to the local tvdb cache, maybe that was the issue.

The new version works better. I now get a list from where I can select the show and episode. However, creating the link does not seem to do anything? I would expect the TVDB info to be displayed the next time I select the show for which I created the link or am i missing something. Attaching the log where I am creating a link for "Top Gear"

Ditto Agerdin's post regarding the 'create link' problem though I couldn't even get that far before the patch.

Hi,

after you've created a link, additional information should appear automatically for episodes of that series where the episode name from your tv guide (= subtitle) matches the episode name on TheTVDB.

In one of your previous posts you attached the zipped information from TheTVDB you got, which contained English information, so most likely no Swedish data is available at TheTVDB, and the English information was used as fallback. Now, when the episode names (subtitles) of your tv guide data are Swedish, it's not possible to match the English episode name from TheTVDB, and so no additional information can be added by the plugin, sorry.

In version 3.0.1, I added some more log output to follow the episode name matching done by the plugin.

Alibert, Thanks for looking into this.

I guess I read from your reply that the subtitle tag is necessary for the lookup. As my XMLTV provider does not have this tag at all, I understand that the lookup is failing. Is there any chance you could default to the main info of the selected serie and only download serie poster (and maybe other general info) and then keep the original XMLTV episode description?
