analog LiveTV not working

When I open PVRX2 and start LiveTV the screen gets black for a second and then I'm in the main menu again. When I use the TuningAssistant I find all channels and everything is working there.
I got my EPG file with mc2xml which seems to be working. I can choose to record something but never watch it.
My card is Hauppauge WinTV PCI-FM.

I tried various configurations wherever I was unsure, but I always got this result.
Any idea what might cause this?

Your tv card does not have a hardware mpeg-2 encoder on it's board, which is necessary to be used within pvrx2: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...dList#toc1

I hope you didn't bought this tv card new, because for this amount of money you could got a very good hauppauge hvr-1200 (with hardware mpeg encoder).

ah i see. no i didn't buy it new and i know it's crap. i am quite shocked that one can apparently still buy it for quite a lot of money
because i got good picture with the tuning assistant i was hoping it could work.
i tried dozens of media centers and they all have a problem with at least one thing of that card.

it'll probably work with npvr tho if you can get the wintv7 filters installed..not sure if hauppauge wintv7 will install on that card tho..worth a try..
