I think that with BBC/ITV from satellite you only get "now and next" from the transponder EPG. Freeview DVB-T is a week.
There are two alternatives that I know of that will give you a week or mores worth.
(1) Radio Times XML listings gives two weeks EPG gathered with Alan Birtles XMLTVGUI http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/ this is what I use for all sources except one.
(2) DVBGuide, this grabs from the satellite stream and can get most of the Freesat EPG, although it says it is work in progress as the decoding of freesat data tables is ongoing. I haven't used this one in earnest although I have fired it up and it does grab ok. http://www.dvbguide.com/
