I have started from scratched and installed windows (win7 pro x64) on a new disk and have installed GBPVR and nPVR but neither play live TV. The offending line in the log seems to be "failed to locate filter: BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter". Any idea what I've forgotten to install first? I'm sure I've done everything - I've gone through the reinstall procedure several times before and don't remember hitting this problem. Sure it's something stupid I've forgotten to do. GBPVR log attached in case it's not that line at all.... Any ideas??

Sorry, no idea at the moment, but here's a snippet of my log in that area with it working?
When you say "neither play live tv" does that mean recordings are fine??

Yeah, on the new disk both nPVR and GBPVR play recordings fine... But live TV appears to do sod all - it stays on the menu, but the log I posted is generated. Yours adds the filter mine moans about so I guess it really is missing on my new install. I've swapped back to the original disk (also with win7 pro x64) so the wife can watch telly for now (so I do have a working installation I can compare logs with, but I'm clueless what I've missed off).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that break things. Its weird its not there though. This filter is normally present on all Windows installs.

You could try running "regsvr32 c:\path\to\psisrndr.ax" on your machine. The location of this file can vary.

I registered that and it made no difference. I turned the firewall off just on the off chance and that made no difference too. I am very confused as I've installed win7 a few times off the same CD and not have any problems like this. I wonder if some cumulative windows update has killed it. When I can be bothered I'll try installing again and turning off update to see if that makes a difference. Cant think of anything else I've done on this install different to any other.

I'm betting you registered the one in "C:\Windows\System32" which is the 64 bit version. GBPVR needs the 32 bit version which is in "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\"

You're dead right, that's exactly what I did! I got annoyed so started again with a format. This time turned updates off and both gbpvr and npvr now work... So not sure if I was just unlucky or if updates did spanner it up. Guess I'll let it update the critical ones and see if it breaks. Thanks for the suggestions.
