I have had several problems with config.exe over the last few days, mainly it would refuse to open, although PVRX2 was working fine. Then yesterday I found that the Recording directory had changed to "C:\Temp", which was the Live recordings directory, all recordings were being placed in separate directory and no matter what I do I can not change it back again.

I have even Un-installed GBPVR, deleted the program directory and the entries in the Virtual Store. On re-installing the recording directory was set to "D:\recordings" and checked in config.xml, but this is still ignored. When I tried to record every recording, from an analogue or a digital source, goes to "c:\Temp" in separate directories.

What next - Format the disk and reinstall the operating system!!!!

turn off uac
select your directory then restart
turn uac back on if you want if you ask me its a waste of time
also check do a search for config.xml and delete all but the ones in your gbpvr program files folder

WOW! That is scary.
Nothing to do with UAC, but there was an old copy of the GBPVR Directory in the C:\Temp directory, but wasn't config.xml causing the problem( I had already removed it), it was "config-master.dont-edit-me.xml", which had an entry for the Recording Directory as "C:\Temp". Removed that file and all is well.

Thanks for your help.
