I don't know if it's related, but what is 'StoreSeparateMetadataXml' in config.xml?

That stores the extended description of the show in a separate file, and has nothing with picture to do.

I still think it would be nice if NPVR didn't create folder.jpg and simply loaded directly from Media\Shows.
