This is kind of a strange question. My EPG is missing show details on a few channels in the TV guide yet show up when pressing the show info button while watching the channel. I have a recording set on one of those channels and the IR blaster seems to not know how to change to that channel on it's own in order to record the show and often picks a random channel to record for the allotted amount of time (usually the welcome to FiOS Channel which is really annoying). The IR blaster changes the channel fine when the show has details in the TV guide but not for those that don't. Has that happened to anyone else before? I've tried dumping my EPG and doing a clean install but that didn't fix it either. I've also stopped and restarted the IR too. I've checked Schedules Direct and everything seems to be ok on that end. I'm using a Hauppauge PVR150 running GB-PVR v1.4.7 on a FiOS HD QIP 7100 1 set top box with the standard Hauppage IR blaster. Logs are attached. Thanks.

sounds like stuffed up epg data...maybe conflicts or overlaps in the data that could cause random channels..
i would get the epg data sorted and i bet the problem will go away..Smile

check the logs after an epg update for import errors with the data...may help finnd the glitch..

How does one sort out the EPG data? I just tried another dump of the data and a new update and still nothing on the one specific channel. Which logs would I find any import glitches? I did notice this in the Pending Log: 11/12/2010 8:00:00 PM - 11/12/2010 9:00:00 PM capture-source:2 tuning:1973. If I'm reading the log right, tuning should be the channel the recording goes to. If that's the case tuning should be 503. How can I fix that? That still wouldn't fix the absence of show details in the guide though.

The channel number shown in the capture source channel list is the number sent to the IR blaster
