Color based on Genre NPVR?

In the GBPVR plugin there used to be an option to have the guide listings show different colors based on the genre. Is this possible with TVListings for NPVR?

sub has already said it isn't possible with the built-in TV Guide. I think nPVR isn't even storing the genre information in its EPG database, so that may mean it's impossible with TVListings too?

I'm still hoping sub may change his mind at a later date...

This is one of the features I loved from GBPVR and Windows Media Center. It makes it easier to quickly find something to watch when you're channel surfing.

I'm at work just now and can't check, but does NPVR even have the grey-coloured highlight for the programme currently on (each channel) as GBPVR does?

i thought it did but i just checked with several skins and nope...no highlight on current timeslot..

Hi,

as long as the genre information is not present in npvr, it's also not possible to do the genre-based colorization. The highlighting of currently aired programmes should work, there are different grid images used for those programmes - just checked it here with the default skin.
