I used to use I-XmlTv to add a * to new episodes. The latest version of it thought only works on 32bit windows. I tried the new TV-Listings Plugin but it doesn't really seem to do what I want. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I am good with the standard guide if I can just denote episodes that are premiers.

mc2xml will do that as it downloads the listings, the "-a" option. but I don't guess that's any use if you can't use mc2xml to get your listings in the first place.

That looks like it will work. Except it never prompts me for which channel lineup from schedules direct to download. It just downloads both and combines them.

I always thought the mc2xml was only for getting listings from Microsoft. I never knew it worked from Schedules Direct also.

Going to try deleting one channel lineup and downloading one at a time to see if i can make separate dat files for each. Thanks.

it may be a pain to do, but if you want the lineups to download separately you could specify a channel file for each download that includes only the channels you want. so your mc2xml calls would look like this:

mc2xml -o lineup1.xml -C lineup1.chl
mc2xml -o lineup2.xml -C lineup2.chl
(that presumes whatever else is needed is already contained in the mc2xml.dat file)

then you'd get two xml's, each with only the channels specified in the matching .chl file. see the mc2xml site http://mc2xml.yourfreehosting.net/ for an example of the .chl file format.

Any way to have the built in schedules direct mark a show as new or repeat? I can't remember if that was possible with GBPVR or not.
