Episodes Recorded - Sort By Season and Episode

Is there a way to sort all of the episodes within a given show by season and episode so you can watch in order?

I know that in the Recordings Menu I can use CTRL-S for sorting of shows, but within a show that I have, recording on multiple channels, there are many different seasons and episodes that are sorted by the recorded date. I have looked around and I am unable to find anything in the documentation or forums on this.

Are you using Schedules Direct? (ie, an EPG source that has season/episode info)

If so, you might want to enable the option to include season/episode naming while recording. This way the alphabetic source is also the season/episode order.

I have the option enabled but I am still seeing the files not sorted. I have included a screen shot to show how it is configured and the results. Is it possible that it was because this option was enabled after the episodes started recording? Or will this change once it is enabled/disabled?

Just a bump for this one. I am also seeing this on all other recordings as well. Although the option is enabled they are not sorting - unless I have the wrong option enabled.

Sorry, I can't find an option to sort A-Z. I know that I can use CTRL option in the previous menu but it does not work within the show info. Is there a menu option somewhere I am missing?

Looking at it here it does seem the sort order doesn't include the season episode on either standard or meta data recording screens with the alpha searches I think date is still being used. If you record out of order then it looks funny. I recently faked my database because of similar Kodi complaints, when the date order is ok it masks the problem.

There is no sort on the hidden menu in the sub screen on meta data you have to do it on the main screen but you probably can use ctrl-s

Click/select the menu icon (three bars, top left), select/click "Sort" and it cycles through A-Z, Z-A, Date (ascending), Date descending.

Unfortunatley there is not a sort option within each show, it will only sort the different shows at a top level. The episodes listing for each show does not have that sort menu option and CTRL-S does not work here. As Martin mentions above if the episodes are recorded out of order (which is the case for this show as they are older episodes recorded on multiple channels) they appear in the order recorded, which is not ideal.

Hopefully this is something to consider for a future version.
