Just temporarily rename your npvr.db3 file, start the app and it'll create a new empty database for you experiment in.

When you need to get back, just restore your original file.

if I may toss my 2 cents in, it really does look like it's obeying the device rules for the Recordings, but ignoring them for LiveTV. I know the presence of tuner #2 in the database does cloud the matter a little bit, but I think that logic bug only affects the analog side.

Renamed the file in question, device recognizes only one 1950 at this point. Results:

Tried to watch another analog channel: Unable to find available capture device
Tried to record another analog channel: No tuner available for this recording
Tried to watch another digital channel: Unable to find available capture device
Tried to record another digital channel: No tuner available for this recording[/INDENT]

While recording a digital channel

Hauppauge HVR USB2 BDA Tuner/Demod:1 – recording

Tried to watch another analog channel: Device failed to start
Tried to record another analog channel: No tuner available for this recording
Tried to watch another digital channel: Unhandled exception… The given key was not present in the dictionary

This is a different issue. There's a bug that prevents watching LiveTV using multi-record (I have the same error, and others have reported it as well. I *think* so far it's always been USA users). So ignore that bit for now.

Most of your other results are correct, except for the "Device failed to start" when you tried to watch an Analog channel while recording a digital channel - you should have gotten "Unable to find available capture device".

You should post your logs of the above attempts. No need to go through any special procedures like I asked before, just post what you've got.

Logs attached, but be warned, I re-mapped all my channels after my run this morning.

If needed, I can re-run the steps with a fresh start.

well I don't see the error in any of those logs, but hopefully sub has enough information to either fix the issue or add more logging to reveal the precise problem (at which time he'll want you to re-run some test cases, so don't bother now). It clearly does have something to do with the way it reads the DeviceRules when doing LiveTV.

I'll give it 24 hours. If no further reply, I'll leave it as is and plug my second unit back in.

Now wrestling with a problem with schedules direct, lower channels (most of the single digit channels) aren't updating and I'm getting (no show details) no matter how many times i update the EPG. All other channels updating just fine, and they are set up the same way.

Do you still have this problem with this patch http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post402728 (not recommended for NMT users however)
