Is it possible to play MPG files in NPVR? I have registered MCEMpgMux.ax but this does not seem to make a difference. Wondering if it is even possible?

Sure it is, have you selected a codec for MPEG2 (if that is what it contains)?

All codecs are set to use the ffdshow codecs. I think this became available when I installed the SAF v4 package.

Mmm, have you tried other codecs? I never got fffdshow or saf to work.

FFDShow has MPEG2 disabled by default. You have to enable it in FFDShow configuration.

This could be simply because ffdshow by default doesn't support mpeg playback. In NPVR on the Decoder dialog there will be a button with three dots on it after ffdshow. Click on it and then go into the first option Codecs and then scroll to MPEG2 and change the decoder from disabled. I use libavcodec.

Marvellous!

You know, I didn't even look at the ellipsis. The options that SAF provides is beyond amazing! Something more to play with...
