Really struggling with this.

I have a HVR 2250 with 2 Motorola STBs.

I tried this on NPVR 1.5x and now 2.0.3

I have blastcfg setup and both work fine in testing (Port 1 for STB#1, port 2 for STB #2). Everything works perfect there.

NPVR is set up as STB #1 on composite and STB #2 on composite (this was the only way I could get them working properly), although I don;t think that would make a difference because I tried it with composite_2 and although I had no video, it still did not change.

I have a few channels different on each line up for testing, and all the ones that are the same, I have "merged" together, but regardless what I enter as a channel only Box #1 changes channels.

When recording, NPVR still does not change the channel on STB #2.

Both are setup to use the HaupBlast.exe {Channel} argument. I even tried copying the HaupBlast.exe and renaming it for device #2.

Thoughts? Some hidden setting somewhere I hope? Is it possible that nPVR does not support multiple blasters?

The Hauppauge API that NPVR and GBPVR use for blasting in HaupBlast.exe only supports one blaster. ie, it only accepts a channel number, with no option for selecting a specific blaster.

I didnt think BlastCfg allowed you to setup multiple blasters and set top boxes either.

The new one that comes with HVR 2250 does.

The card has ports for two IR Blasters (one on main, one on daughter board), it comes with two IR blasters in the box and the box the 2250 came in says it controls two STB's and people at SageTV have it working with two STB's.

From the HVR 2250 webpage:

Quote:WinTV-HVR-2250
Model numbers:

model 01213: WinTV-HVR-2250 Media Center Kit: includes a Media Center certified remote control transmitter, an IR remote control receiver/blaster cable, an A/V breakout cable for the primary A/V input, an auxiliary A/V panel and cable to add a second set of audio/video inputs, and an IR transmitter cable to control a second set top box through the auxiliary A/V panel

I have not tried to set it up in WinTV7

That is disappointing though for NPVR/GB-PVR. I guess I have no choice but to go to coax for the second tuner.. such crappy images and I lose 75% of my channels.

This the real reason I bought the card a few weeks ago, as I thought I could control both STBs.

Any chance this will be added some day to NVPR?

Does blastcfg actually allow you to configure a different set top box for each blaster? That UI looks like it allows you to configure a single blaster, but you can choose whether you use blaster one or blaster two for sending the IR.

To be honest, I'd be dependent on Hauppauge updating their blasting API to support two blasters.

Does the blaster sw have an .ini or .config file of some sort? If so you could try having another set in a different directory.
