I just upgraded to Windows 7 and NPVR 2.0.3. Have done a bunch of Windows udpates and just using what MS supplied for the nvidia graphics card.

The NPVR install went fine (best ever compared to XP/GBPVR) and everything pretty much works out of the box. BUT ... NPVR does not have any video when playing recordings or live TV. The sound is there, but no video. MCE is working fine.

I have attached the logs. Thanks heaps.

@wodger:

Setup video decoder as "Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder".

If still wont work, you can try my *unlocked* SAF5.
BTW, if you record small video sample, can you play it outside nPVR? (if there is video track inside).

Oh I see. It was disabled. I changed MPEG2 Video decoder to Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder and it worked. It seems a little grainy, but it's on a pretty rubbish LCD monitor right now. Thanks.

Just about to post the logs again as it crashed when I tried to change channels..

Yep. It may have been then, but it's disabled now. The sound is ok (only hearing it through the PC speaker at the moment,) but the video is tiny bit jumpy.

lol. Device manager says the driver is provided by nvidia, version 8.15.11.8593. But it also says Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1. Sounds like a trip to nvidia is going to be worthwhile? I also notice that graphics in the broadcast (credits etc) are pretty crap too. The picture was perfect (for Freeview DVB-S anyway) under XP/GBPVR.

Do you think it's more likely to be graphics drivers or tuner card drivers?
