xcard - widescreen support

Any ideas on howto force 16:9 output mode using the xcard with GBPVR. The output form the xcard always seems to be 4:3 aspect. Software decoders work okay with 16:9 material so it seems the problem is related to the xcard settings.

BTW xcard is set to wide mode for xmedia player and via the config applet thingy.

This post seems to suggest the mpeg header aspect flag maybe getting set incorrectly to 4:3.

The xcard directshow filters output 16:9 correctly when used with my dvb card. Any ideas ?

I'm having this same problem. Even when playing widescreen DVDs (that show up in okay widescreen in TVedia), I get a widescreen shot shown in 4:3.

Is there any fix for this? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Apologies if this is a well known FAQ or glaringly obvious. I just want to know if 16:9 aspect ratio is supported in combination with the XCard.
