If you make a recording that switches from 720p to 480i (or similar), does it crash during playback? If so, supply the file and I'll take a look.

Sure, but I have to see if I can figure out how to do this. The PCH had major troubles with the file too I think there were glitches as the h264 rtp payload changes. This (and removing the annoying piece of the prev channel and OSD tuning info) are why I would prefer these to be tuned twice.

I'm not sure how to make a recording that changes resolutions. I did change the DirecTV box to 720p on the front resolution setting and in the setup of the menu. When I start watching a channel it will crash anywhere from 2 secs in to about 30 secs.
Also, I have the c:\temp folder for my live buffer but now it won't write out a crash file so I cannot post it.
