Could use some help.

I finally took the plunge & upgraded to NPVR. GBPVR was working fine but with a new "smart" flat panel, my MVP was no longer needed, so why not. The transitions went relatively smoothly except for one issue. Whenever a new recording starts while I'm watching another video I get a Windows popup that says "Found IR Controller (e2)." Video playback and recording aren't affected but my Hauppauge 45 button remote loses control of the NPVR window & I have to restart NVPVR to get it back. Why would the recording service cause this?

There is only once instance of AutoStart IR in the startup folder (C:\Program Files\WinTV\Ir.exe" /QUIET) and once instance of ir.exe running. Other that this one annoyance, I'm liking the NVPVR experience.

It sounds like you've setup your channels with the '.exe channel changer' pointing at ir.exe? It shouldnt. You probably meant to point at haupblast.exe

That was fast!

Yes, I was using Ir.exe. The channel changer configuration section of the Wiki isn't up yet so I assumed I should use the same settings as GBPVR & PVRX2. I thought a "blaster" was used to control a cable or satellite box which I won't have until next week when I finally upgrade from analog to digital. I've been proven wrong. Again. Thanks for providing the best support ever.

You cant have used that same setting in GBPVR/PVRX2 - you would have got the same problem. ir.exe is not about the blaster. It's Hauppauge's IR receiver (used for handling the remote control). You probably want to point to HaupBlast.exe instead.
