I get all the other channels but not BBC1 and BBC2.

If I scan all UK freq then I get BBC 1 and 2 (twice) but all the channel numbers are incorrect. Any ideas?

Looks like Emley has changed over on the 7th Sep and frequencies have changed. http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=SE222128
Another change looks due on the 21st. I'm pointing at Belmont and have also just gone through this pain in the rear. (but have HD now).

I'm not sure which .ini file needs tweaking. (the ini files are used to speed things up compared to scan all). AFAIR channel numbers have to get tweaked manually afterwards as I think they are just allocated in order of finding channels.

EDIT: Your missing BBC1 and BBC2 is that analogue or digital??

The ini file is located in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-T

It'll be in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-T (on Vista/7) or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-T (on XP).

Identify the correct file for your region and then just edit in the new tuning information. It'll probably only be the frequencies you'll need to change (the first number after the comma):

1=1,730000,0,0,8

But if you have to add more (or take one away), remember to edit the bit at the top that says something like 0=6 (edit the 6).

Great. But when I update it via notepad and the repeat the scan. It still scans the old frequencies not the one I have edited it to.

Try restart etc

It looks like it is file 0079.ini

What I tend to do is run SCANCHANNELSBDA from the hauppauge web site (works with most DVB-T tuners) and see which MUX's are being used and then edit the ini file to include them.

There is also mention of a slight oddity at Emley in that BBC seems to be on two MUXs for a short time until the main changeover on the 21st

when yo will have to change stuff for hopefully the last time for a while

Sounds as if you haven't edited and saved the correct .ini file. Had the same prob last week with Sutton Coldfield but there was no need to restart until after scan had found the channels.
