That's true. It is also true that an old steamboat is cruising the lake I live nearby, but noone would suggest that all ships switch back to steam engines Big Grin

I've not had time to look at it. I'll see if I can do it today.

Edit: I'm not going to be able to do this anytime soon. Are his support assumptions even valid in this instance? Wouldn't he need to look at one of our video files to check the problem?

A question for sub or others: If the recording drive isn't able to "keep up" (due to some combination of too many concurrent recordings, comskip/transcoding processes, and/or playback sessions), will the NPVR recording just "drop" some of the .ts stream and not log any errors?

I also see the drops, freeze and jump problems. My record drive is generally different from my playback drives. Most files are archived onto the "green" style playback drives for later viewing. I don't notice any difference when using any of the drives and whether recording or not while doing so. I have noticed that exiting and resuming the file usually gets around these other issues. Assume the problems are all related?

The logic for the NMT and PC are different enough that I would like to tackle this as a different problem. Feel free to send me some logs to look at.

Maybe, but the Timing.Info file should be a able to tell you that the file is growing at a reasonably consistent rate.
