Oh, I noticed that even if I have two recordings going, it only lists the first one:

recstatus time=120 GBPVR=\\mediaserver\gbpvr
Number of shows currently recording: 2
Recording #1 - Stargate Atlantis' (recording ends in 50 minutes and 39 seconds)

I would find it handy if it could list all the recordings in the next XXX minutes so if I did need to do some work on the system I could find when it would be free.

By the way, great utility! Thank you! [Image: smile.gif]
GBPVR v0.94.12 - Windows MCE 2005 SP2
ASUS P4P800 Deluxe with P4 HT 2.6GHz + 1GB RAM
160GB & 250GB SATA 7200 RPM HDD's, 2 200GB ATA/133 7200 RPM HDD's
(2) WinTV PVR-150MCE's - (2) Media MVP HAU 1000's

For the next release, RecStatus will:

1. read the GBPVR directory from the Windows registry, making it less likely you'll have to override the default via a run-time parameter;

2. unless silent mode is used, it will report all active recordings as well as all pending recordings that are scheduled to commence within the specified time period;

3. (perhaps) use optional RecStatus.cfg file to hold default configuration data unless overridden by run-time parameters;

4. (perhaps) offer built-in email reporting via user's SMTP server;

5. anything else that anyone suggests [Image: tounge.gif]

Expect the update to be released in the next several days.

Would it be possible to improve the formatting of the output? I have a batch file;

RecStatus.exe time=1440
pause

that I run just to do a quick check to see what is going to record over the next 24 hours. I would like to export it to a .txt file, but the carriage returns don't show up in notepad correctly. Ideally, I would like to run a list of all scheduled shows, and save or print it for weekly planning, and disaster recovery.

Pioneer4x4:

The reason you aren't seing the output formatted correctly is because the output only has linefeeds and no carriage returns, I believe. Notepad doesn't like this but WordPad doesn't mind. You should find things look and print ok if you open the file in WordPad.

I changed it to this, works fine. Thanks. I might put it to a csv, and use excel, and parse it and print it. It is almost instantanious, great way to check upcoming recordings

RecStatus.exe time=1440 >recstatus.txt
"C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe" recstatus.txt
