Hi All
I have been using NPVR (just installed the latest version on a clean Win 7 install) for a few years and have always had this problem (I thought it was my slow PC - but not any more) -
The EPG is only updated for about 2 hours into the future - and only when I go in and watch live TV.

I have the EPG set to run at 2am - and set to 120 minutes (not 100% sure what this is - I suspect the time EPG is allowed to run for .. )
The PC is always on. I have just rebuilt it with an Intel i5, 8G Ram and SSD - -so it is fast.
I am using a WinTV-HVR-2200 running in Auckland NZ - the card and everything is working fine - I can record and watch live TV -- only the EPG only shows the next 2 hours of shows. Very frustrating.

Any suggestions what I can lookat to get the EPG to list shows for the next week ?

Thanks

Nick
PS NPVR is a fantastic package -- great work.

I think you have to use something like "epg collector" which produces a xml that can be read by nextpvr
as dvb-t in nz only gives 2 hours ahead in the format that npvr uses
where as epg collector can read mheg5 or whatever its called that has more data

What EPG service are you using to supply your EPG data?

As stustunz said only two hours worth of data is unscrambled that NextPVR can pick up, EPG Collector can read the scrambled mheg5 data & produce a seven day xml guide that can then be used.

You can find the forum for EPG Collector here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/epgcollector/forums

and the download here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/epgcollector/

I have been using it for years & it's pretty easy to setup

Not in New Zealand, unless things have changed & I haven't heard about it, negotiations between Microsoft & our TV stations for supplying guide data failed right from the start...... we have the weirdest TV stations when it comes to guide data (or lack of it).

you can via DVB-S in NZ, just not DVB-T. The EIT EPG in NZ is now/next only. The EPGCollector off the geekzone site, can be used with DVB-T and parses the mheg5 EPG.

if only someone had read the sticky at the top of the support forum, they'd have noticed "EPGCollector: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?for...icid=61903 - load NZ Freeview-T EPG into XMLTV"
server: NextPVR 5.0.7/Win10 2004/64-bit/AMD A6-7400k/hvr-2250 & hvr-1250/Winegard Flatwave antenna/Schedules Direct
main client: NextPVR 5.0.7 Desktop Client; LG 50UH5500 WebOS 3.0 TV
