That particular DVB radio change doesn't change anything that could cause this, but I cant remember other things were changed around the same time.

Odd you're getting this, but other like myself aren't seeing it. I'm on Win8 and I'm getting virtually no CPU usage when playing mkv files.

If you don't start the playback from the Videos screen, does it make any difference? ie, start the app, right click on the main menu and select 'open file' then select the file.

Re-installed latest Nextpvr.exe - right click open file on the same file =15-16% CPU NextPVR is only using about 6-8%
This MKV is in a folder with 38 others plus xml & jpg for each and is on a server.
Tried a local folder with three MKV's - Videos used about 40% CPU Total - with a folder with 12 MKV's 55% (Maybe about 10% networking overhead?)
This also happens with WMV Files & AVI's - Looks as though Videos is scanning all the other Files in the folder.

Unfortunatly going to have to go back to the previous version & disapear for the next 10 or 11 hours Sad
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

Just done a bit more testing with the latest NextPVR.exe - This appears to be a problem with the Videos side of NPVR & probably not a DXVA problem. Once a Video has been played NextPVR.exe CPU usage remains at about 38% even just browsing through folders until you return to the main menu. If you go into Videos again it Jumps back up to the same usage immediately. The only way to reduce it is to close NPRVR and restart the program.

Anything you would like me to do Sub? I could upload a Dump from Process Hacker or something if you want.
