I found that going directly to the login URL works. The base URL of the machine doesn't, but that's fine.

@sub: Is there anyway to make a redirect @ the root level to the login page?

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I haven't seen the answer lying around anywhere.

Do you need IIS running in order to use the web interface? I tried the above url , subbing my pvr's ip address and the port specified in gbpvr config settings. Page can't be displayed.

Side note, anyone know how to find your outbound ip address if you have 2 machine connected to a router and a cable modem? In other words, how do I find the ip address I would use at work to access my home network?

Thanks

No, you don't need IIS running.

I have comcast broadband and this is how it works for me. I have a wireless router connected to my comcast cable modem. I can view the router configuration via a browser and see the external IP address the modem's been assisgned. I then can configure the router to route specific traffic (http in this case) to a spcific computer in my local network. Once you do that, that computer is now "exposed" to the Internet and all the bad things that can result so a good firewall would be advised before you open yourself up. I got it working but shut it down right away as I have no need to schedule recordings when away from the house. Okay, it would be nice, but it's not worth the risk to me.
