I have 4 displays on my computer:
ATI Radeon 6850 GPU monitor1 DVI monitor2 DVI, Intel HD3000 chipset monitor3 DVI and monitor4 HDMI

NextPVR on the primary display monitor1 works fine, it will go to Full screen on monitor1 with Start on secondary monitor is off.

If I start NextPVR on another monitor and exit, I start NextPVR and it will often revert to monitor1 !?? Sad, at other time it will start again on the last monitor, (monitor3 but not monitor4 ).

With Start on secondary monitor enabled, it will go Full screen on monitor2 , I wish I could specify which display is the secondary monitor. Wink
With Start on secondary monitor disabled, I move NextPVR to any of the 3 other displays, it will go to Full screen on monitor1 :eek: Not what I expected.

Is there a way to specify which display correspond to NextPVR primary/secondary monitor?

I'v asked a similar question before, and npvr just handles two monitors, that means you have to drag the monitor you want to be second in windows' display setting to second place. If you want it to run on the third or fourth you'll have to start nextpvr windowed, drag it to the desired monitor and then maximize it. But it will probably not stick.

I'll try to add support for more monitors in a future release.

Not sure this will change the numbering of the display, I drag and the number stay the same.
They are probably detected at startup. Updating a display driver did change the numbering of monitor, but the default returned after a restart of Windows.

The number stays the same, but if ypu drag monitor number 4 next to number one it will become secondary monitor.

I will try ... but I guess it will not be trivial ...
My displays are in this pattern:

Code:
[FONT=Lucida Console]
[color=#800080]    4[/color]
[color=#800080]3[/color][color=#FFA07A] 2 1[/color][/FONT]

So to get NextPVR secondary on monitor4 With drag & drop it would need to switch to the left of 1 !?!.
I will probably have to switch cable of monitor in position 4 to the ATI GPU. I would get either
Code:
[FONT=Lucida Console]
[color=#FFA07A]    2[/color]
[color=#800080]4[/color][color=#FFA07A] 3 1[/color][/FONT]
or
Code:
[FONT=Lucida Console]
[color=#FFA07A]    3[/color]
[color=#800080]4[/color][color=#FFA07A] 2 1[/color][/FONT]
or even
Code:
[FONT=Lucida Console]
[color=#FFA07A]    1[/color]
[color=#800080]4[/color][color=#FFA07A] 3 2[/color][/FONT]

Or if I move 1 and 2 to Motherboard HD 3000, define it as default in bios instead of the ATI GPU, the pattern would become like that:
Code:
[FONT=Lucida Console]
[color=#800080]    2[/color]
[color=#FFA07A]4 3[/color][color=#800080] 1[/color][/FONT]

This is not the most efficient use of the hardware, monitor1 and 2 are 1980x1080, 3 is 1680x1050 and 4 only 1440x900, so I would loose on performance not using the ATI GPU not to mention issue with other programs or Win7. Did I mention that I can also have input for 2 more display? I will test later this week end.

In the mean time I just resize the NextPVR windows on monitor4 to maximum cause if I go to Full screen the NextPVR windows jump to either monitor1 or monitor2 depending on the Start on secondary monitor option

You have a similar configuration to mine, I also have a motherboard with built-in graphics and an ATI 3460 PCI-e adapter. Now it is said that if you let the two work together you should get better performance, but I'v found that the onboard graphice does not have hardware decoding of H.264 so performance actually decrease if you have the onboard graphice enabled and is watching H.264 content. So unless you really need the two extra monitors I'll recommend that you disable the onboard and let the ATI handle all graphics. What motherboard and graphics adapter do you have?

Asus P8Z68-V Pro configured to boot on the ATI Radeon 6850.
But I don't think I have H.264 Broadcast here, only MPEG2.
The easiest would be to move the 4th display to the ATI GPU but to no avail ... it detect the display but I can not extend the Desktop to it !!!
More tests to do ....
