This USB stick worked like a champ with NextPVR. I had tried to get it to work with BeyondTV 4.9, but wasn't supported. Tried Blaze (which came with the stick) - which is a total piece of garbage software (and support was even worse). Arcsoft TotalMedia was slightly better, but still terrible. But, hold on a minute - got it working with NextPVR in like 20 minutes - and NextPVR is free software - what is not to love about this, great software, great UI, totally open .xml for customizations - I think I died and went to heaven! I got this USB stick for less than $20 - now despite Comcast and their crapola about needing an external box (liars!), this little stick managed to pull in all the clear QAM channels so I am back on track with taping my standard programs.
I live in Northern California, and have the most basic Comcast cable package, btw. Get network TV in HD (and lots of PBS stations I never even heard of). And Discovery channel is back - woo hoo!

I have the exact same USB stick, and I was not so lucky. The program does detect the stick (both QAM and ATSC), but when I go to scan channels, it does not find any. I tried an antenna for ATSC, and I also tried the basic cable we have with the QAM device, but no luck. Any ideas what I might be missing? Thank you!

go into NPVR settings, view the devices screen, then do a channel scan for ATSC and QAM (with the appropriate antenna or cable plugged in of course), then post your NPVR.log showing all that.

Hi. The NPVR.log is typically found in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Logs, and can be sent to a zipped folder and attached to a post via "Go Advanced" and the paperclip button.

I can only get four ATSC channels with an indoor antenna, which is why I still pay my cable bill. Is it possible that your basic cable channels are all analog? Analog support can be added to NextPVR as discussed in the Wiki: http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ugeSoftPVR
