It looks like you are having trouble with the TVListings Plugin.

2013-01-02 19:10:28.699 [DEBUG][12] TV Listings: Exception details: System.InvalidCastException: Specified cast is not valid.
at System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteDataReader.VerifyType(Int32 i, DbType typ)
at System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteDataReader.GetInt32(Int32 i)
at TVListings.BackendImpl.NPVRDatabase.GetMaxProgrammeOid()

Try disabling it and see if that helps

OK, I'll try disabling ( assuming I can figure out how to do this ! ) and see what happens when I update EPG. Would there be any reason why this would start giving me problems after months of having no issues at all ?

STOP!!!

I know that in this specific case the issue is not NPVR, it's MC2XML and whatever is going on at MS.com/Zap2it/Times Tribune.
Many WMC users are crippled by this as well so I'm inclined to believe that it's related more with Microsoft(go figure!).

OK, am stopping ! Will wait to hear about further developments on this - for now will resort to old school "timed" recordings Smile

Yup. Many WMC users in the UK especially are reporting issues. USA/Canada seems hit and miss. Some reports at http://www.avsforum.com/t/1447944/wmc-epg-guide-ending

@OTAjunkie: Has it even been established that mc2xml is Foxenhimr's grabber? Anyway, mc2xml is currently working fine for me in the US, although I initially had problems concerning UpdateEPG.bat file. BTW, I also have Vista MC and the guide still works fine. (Installed NPVR because VMC does not support clear QAM except via a set-top box.) Perhaps the problem you speak of is restricted to Ottawa? Has cable provider recently gone "all digital" in your area? (MS.com often has separate analog and digital listings for the same local cable provider, and analog listings might have been deleted.)

Yes, It was established that Foxenhimr's grabber is MC2XML when I installed and configured it on his PC some 6 months ago.
That's kinda why I insisted "I know that in this specific case the issue is not NPVR".
This issue is that US locations(zips) that had been listing guide data for Can locations are no longer are providing that info. This is affecting Can
MC2XML users that use US listings(a little bit more info). And because WMC does not natively support locations outside the US it renders it's Can users(who change their location to somewhere close in the US) guides blank because those Can channels are no longer listed.
