When you switched from the SA 8300 to the Cisco 4642, did you retain Code Set 0076, or change to a new Code Set? I also have a Cisco 4642, with a Hauppauge Colossus, and everything seems to be setup fine, in that I can see the blaster lights blinking. But the blaster just won't change channels on the STB. Not sure if I have the wrong CodeSet or not. Any info appreciated.

Turns out that for the Cisco 4642, code 78 did not work for me. But Hauppauge Colossus IR Blaster codes Scientific Atlanta 0090 and 0091 both DO work *with* this IR Extender .
Using the IR Blaster cable by itself direct to the cable box without the IR Extender did not work. Most peculiar. But glad it is going. Colin |
